Job title: CDM Consultant

Department: Safety Department

Location: London and Surrounding Area

Job purpose:

-To discharge the duties of Principal Designer or assist the Client / Principal Designer carry out their roles specified in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Responsibilities:

-To liaise with Clients, Designers and Contractors as required by the scheme;

-To attend design reviews and design team meetings as required by the scheme;

-To advise Clients, Designers, and Contractors on their duties under the regulations;

-To attend pre-start and progress meetings as required by the scheme;

-Familiarity with design risk management and pre-construction information collation.

-You may be required to carry out other duties in line with your job status and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business.



Person Specification:

-Proactive approach to project delivery, with the ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

-Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

-Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.



Mobility

-Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and client offices within the surrounding region.

-Full UK driving licence



Essential:

-NEBOSH General Certificate

-A thorough understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and associated approved code of practice;

-Previous CDM Coordination experience within a consultancy organisation;

-Registered CDMC membership of the Association for Project Safety (RMaPS);

-Excellent organisation and communication skills;

-The ability to work under own initiative;

-The ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines;

-A good level of IT skills.

-Driving License



Desirable:

-NEBOSH Construction Certificate;

-Technician Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TechIOSH
