Summary
Contract Manager - Nest Insight
We're looking for a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our dynamic team at Nest Insight. In this role, you will lead Nest Insight’s contract management process, ensuring agreements are drafted, negotiated, and executed efficiently while safeguarding our interests and managing risk. You’ll work closely with project teams and external partners - including universities, public bodies, commercial firms, and non-profits - to deliver contractual solutions that enable us to deliver our ambitious programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong contract management expertise - or someone looking to grow their career in this area - within a purpose-driven organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage the process for drafting, negotiating, and advising on all our contracting requirements
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve contract issues and ensure alignment with our policies and risk standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including public procurement and data protection.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, policies, and guidance materials.
- Deliver training sessions to the team on legal considerations and contract processes.
- Monitor live contracts and manage amendments as required.
The minimum requirement for this role are:
- Solid experience in contract management, with a strong understanding of UK commercial law.
- Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements to a high standard.
- Excellent legal analysis skills combined with sound commercial judgment.
- Strong communication abilities and proven stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good working understanding of data protection regulation.
- Skilled at prioritising multiple tasks and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
