Calf Rearer – Wrexham – £32,000 + Career Progression
The Job:
A family-run dairy farm is seeking a motivated Calf Rearer to join their team. You will be responsible for the care, welfare and growth of calves from birth through to weaning. The role offers a supportive environment and clear opportunities for progression, including the potential to lead the calf rearing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding, care, and monitoring of calves from birth to weaning
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, welfare, and biosecurity
- Identify and treat health issues promptly in line with farm protocols
- Assist with colostrum management, housing hygiene, and accurate record keeping
- Support the team during calving periods and manage workload efficiently
- Operate farm machinery
- Contribute to improvements in calf rearing systems and performance

The Candidate:
- Previous livestock handling experience, ideally with youngstock
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare
- Organised, proactive and positive attitude
- Knowledge and experience on using farm machinery is advantageous
- Dairy or calf rearing experience desirable
- Interest in progressing to leadership or management roles
The Package:
- £30,000-£35,000 annual salary DOE
- Full training and career development support
