Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Redbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping young people re-engage with learning and develop confidence through creative, hands-on science education.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across the science curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with additional learning, social, or emotional challenges. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting each learner holistically-academically, emotionally, and behaviourally.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons to KS3-KS4 students


Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning and behavioural needs


Foster curiosity, resilience, and self-belief in all learners


Develop personalised learning plans to support student progress


Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals


Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment


Monitor and assess student achievement, providing regular feedback


Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment and pastoral initiatives


Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3-KS4)


Understanding of SEND and SEMH needs within an educational context


Strong communication and classroom management skills


Ability to build positive relationships with students who may have disengaged from learning


Commitment to inclusive practice and holistic education


Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
