Due to expansion within their Delegated Authority team, a position for a Delegated Authority Technician has arisen.
Your new role
In this role, you will join a dynamic Delegated Authorities team that operates in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You will support the management of delegated and binding authority accounts, assist with the placement of new and renewal business, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements. Working closely with broking teams and global offices, you will gain exposure to diverse classes of business and international markets while contributing to a growing and innovative team.Your responsibilities will include preparing binding authority agreements, endorsements, and client documentation. You will assist with the end-to-end placement process for delegated authority and open market business, draft client evidence of coverage, and produce monthly bordereaux and statistical reports.
You will maintain internal systems and workflows to meet contract certainty and regulatory standards, and you will use market portals and broking systems to produce accurate documents and submissions. Responding promptly to global queries and data requests will be key to ensuring client satisfaction, and you will work towards building strong relationships with markets, coverholders, insurers, and underwriters. Compliance with FCA, Lloyd's, and company procedures will be an essential part of your role.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will have a good understanding of the (re)insurance market, particularly delegated or binding authorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with high attention to detail and accuracy. You should be well-organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively, and ideally hold or be working towards ACII qualification. A flexible, team-oriented approach will help you thrive in this environment.
