Are you the right person for the job?
• Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ experience working in a Residential Conveyancing Department, handling both sales and purchases
• Experience of the full conveyancing process
• Familiarity with the Land Registry portal, HMRC portal, LMS, or Lender Exchange is beneficial
• Experience using a case management system (LEAP preferred)
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a busy workload
• Strong IT skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
• Has a can-do attitude and strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accurate audio typing
• Experience with diary management and liaising with clients
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
What will your role look like?
• Opening, updating, and closing matter files, recording client data using LEAP
• Taking initial enquiries and passing details to fee earners
• Carrying out identity and AML checks when opening files
• Preparing contract packs and carrying out searches
• Ordering redemption statements and organising completions
• Preparing bills and financial documentation
• Post-completion work, including Stamp Duty Land Tax returns, Land Registry applications, deeds schedules, etc.
• Acting as a point of contact for internal and external callers, taking messages and relaying them promptly
• Updating clients and agents throughout the process
• Carrying out general office duties such as copying, printing, and scanning
