Location: South West England - commutable from Bath, Cheltenham, or Gloucester
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications (not pro rata)
Hours: Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: January 2026

About the Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead a new specialist school for children and young people with SEMH, Autism and associated needs.. This is a unique chance to shape a school from the ground up — embedding therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches and creating a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment for every pupil.

What You’ll Do

Lead an SEN/SEMH school with vision, compassion, and ambition
Build a culture where wellbeing and learning progress go hand in hand
Empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised, pupil-centred education
Ensure operational excellence, safeguarding, and compliance from day one
Who We’re Looking For

Experienced Headteacher or Deputy in SEN/SEMH, specialist or alternative provision
Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, behaviour as communication, and complex needs
Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks for specialist settings
Budget and resource management experience
Relevant teaching qualification
