About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. Your role will involve working on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in their learning and development
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Implement individual learning plans and behaviour management strategies
- Provide emotional and pastoral support to students
- Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but NOT essential
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
