Summary

This high-impact role places you at the forefront of the London Borough of Bexley’s most complex, cross-cutting transformation projects. You will take full, end-to-end accountability for project success, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. The focus is firmly on outcomes, securing significant financial savings and measurable service improvements for Bexley’s residents.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and strong judgment, proactively managing risks and issues to maintain delivery momentum. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Council’s approach to change, informing strategic decisions on resource allocation and project prioritisation, while acting as a trusted advisor to troubleshoot key challenges and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

We are recruiting three Senior Transformation Project Managers with proven experience in managing and delivering large-scale, complex transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will:
Have a deep understanding of project and change management methodologies, applying robust techniques and governance frameworks, including benefits realisation and risk/issue management.
Demonstrate extensive experience influencing and securing buy-in from senior leaders and diverse stakeholders, using excellent communication skills to navigate a highly political environment and build trust.
Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision, showing resilience under pressure and championing best practice methodologies.
