Summary


Are you a registered professional? The West and Weymouth & Portland Core CAMHS Team are looking for an enthusiastic Duty Practitioner to join their supportive team.

As a CAMHS Duty Practitioner, you will be providing urgent support for Children, Young People and their Families. This will include liaising with their professional network and completing urgent Duty Reviews/ Assessments. This role also supports our CAMHS interfaces, in this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with our CAMHS - Enhanced Support and Liaison Service, liaising with our Team Leaders to make recommendations for Care Planning for those Young People who have received Crisis Support. You will also support our Assistant Psychologist in their role to complete Wellbeing Calls for Families who are waiting for treatment.

In this role you will hold a small caseload, and will deliver a variety of care and intensive evidence-based treatment interventions, on a one-to-one, family and group basis to promote recovery, appropriate in partnership with children, young people and families/carers. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and partner agencies providing a high quality of care.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Alongside the Duty Role, you will hold a small clinical caseload, offering evidenced based interventions in line with our care pathways.

You will make judgements about appropriate models of treatment, often involving highly complex issues and situations and thus requiring analysis, comparison and interpretation of a range of options.

You will undertake mental health assessments in a variety of settings including home, clinic, schools and acute settings and ensure appropriate treatment plans are initiated.

You will liaise with Partner Agencies and our wider CAMH Services.
