Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housing Caretaker LBR3 to contribute to our Facilities & Environment team. As a Housing Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of residential properties and communal areas. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance issues, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of residents. You will be the first point of contact for residents regarding any facilities concerns, making your communication skills essential to effectively responding to inquiries and resolving problems. Your proactive approach will help promote a comfortable living environment while adhering to established health and safety regulations. Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of residential properties and communal areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Respond promptly to resident inquiries and maintenance requests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep of communal facilities.
Assist in the management of waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a sustainable environment.
Report any significant maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance work, ensuring timely completion and quality of service.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering stock as needed to ensure adequate resources are available.
Requirements
Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is preferred.
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to residential properties.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with maintenance duties, including lifting and carrying equipment.
Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Commitment to providing a high level of customer service and support to residents.

Hours Per Week: 35.00

End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £15.19
