EPUT is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Community to join our welcoming and professional team at Basildon Mental Health Unit, Basildon.
The post holder will deliver consistent, high quality medical leadership to the team which providescommunity services for patients referred to the secondary mental health services from GP surgeries within 3 PCN areas of Basildon East, West and Central areas (details of distribution of these PCNs with other colleagues can be found in the Job Description).
Basildon is readily commutable from London and alternatively Essex’s has many advantages for applicants seeking to relocate with great schools and countryside.

As well as making a clinical difference, we believe that your development is key so you will be supported to enable you to pursue educational and research interests which go hand in hand to provide a high quality of care and safety to our patients. We have excellent links with the medical school at ARU and other educational establishments where we have shared appointments in teaching and research.
You must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, with an appropriate CCT or equivalent or be within six months of obtaining your CCT on the date of the AAC.

· Work collaboratively with Primary Care.
· Liaise with other services within the organization and outside of the organization to optimize the care of your patients.
