Summary
The Best Connection are proud to be working with our client based in Bowburn, Durham. They are a large and well established flooring company, who are looking for a class 2 driver.
This is a multi-drop, class 2 driver, role working in local areas. A typical day consists of 10-20 deliveries with some manual handling involved.
Class 2 Driver key responsibilities:
- To deliver the highest standard of service and be a brand ambassador for the business
- Provide an efficient and 'First in Class' delivery service to our customers
- Drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct procedures
- To contribute effectively in our team environment
- Complete a daily vehicle and equipment pre-trip and post trip check using a Defect reporting process and systems.
- Ensure all customer delivery details are captured accurately via use of a PDA system.
Ideally you will have:
- A great customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach to deliver outstanding results
- A fully adaptable approach to work
- The ability to use your own initiative to ensure the customer receives their goods in a safe and timely manner
- Category C licence (maximum 6 points), CPC and Digi card
- Experience of working in a multi-drop environment
- 2 years commercial driving experience
This role is paid PAYE, at the following rates:
- £13.75 per hour for the first 8 hours daily
- £20.63 per hour after 8 hours daily
