Summary

1) Managing and supervising the band 7 clinical psychologist, health psychology trainee, and senior assistant psychologist in the service 2) Attending regular quarterly meetings with and reporting back to commissioners of the service and completing internal reports 3) Attending regular meetings with the clinical director to discuss service updates 4) Carrying out pre-group assessments with parents 5) Occasionally Co-facilitating the Families, Food and Feelings parent group 6) Occasionally Conducting reviews with parents who have attended the programme 7) Depending on capacity, offering a small number of 1:1 parent sessions with those parents who cannot attend the group 8) Recording clinical notes from sessions on the online database 9) Occasionally supporting with developing and delivering training to professionals via quarterly webinars 10) Providing consultations to professionals around young peoples mental health 11) Support coordinating the monthly obesity MDT meetings and provide psychological consultation into the MDT. 12) Supporting with service evaluation and reporting Monitoring and evaluation 1. To participate in the monitoring and evaluation activities in the service. 2. To become familiar with the range of feedback and outcome measures used in the service, and to integrate them into clinical practice. 3. To support with compiling reports for commissioners and the board of trustees Supervision and teaching 1. To engage in regular clinical supervision and support with case management from other senior colleagues, where appropriate. 2. To provide supervision to 3 other team members (clinical psychologist, senior assistant psychologist, and trainee health psychologist) 3. To use supervision as required by the post-holders respective professional body regulations and the requirements of the service. IT responsibilities 1. To use a computer/laptop to write reports and record data. 2. To use our electronic diary system to book appointments and meetings 3. To use email to communicate with other professionals as required. 4. To use the online database (Patient source) to record referrals, feedback and outcome measures and understand graphical presentation of data for patient outcomes. 5. To be aware of and use password protection and data protection when recording or sending identifiable information within or across services. 6. To use Microsoft office programmes including Excel, PowerPoint, Word to record data, write reports and develop training 7. Staff must obtain, process and/or use personal information in a fair and lawful way, to hold personal information only for the specific registered purpose, and to only share or disclose data to authorised persons or organisations following the strict guidelines and principles as outlined in Brandon Centre policies as instructed All Brandon Centre employees are expected to sign a confidentiality agreement on taking up their post at the Centre. Safeguarding of children and adults All staff have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and adults that they come into contact with during the course of their work at the Brandon Centre. The post holder will receive the appropriate level of training, both at induction and on an on-going basis. She/he is responsible for ensuring that they are familiar with, understand and always work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation. Health records, record keeping and record management All staff have an obligation to ensure that patient records (both paper and electronic) are maintained in accordance with Brandon centre policies, to facilitate clinical care and effective administration, and to ensure that confidentiality is protected at all times. All staff are advised to compile records on the assumption that they are accessible to patients in line with the Access to Health Records Act 1990. Waste disposal All staff must ensure that waste produced within the Centre is disposed of in such ways that control risk to health or safety of staff and the public alike in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures contained within the policy. Smoke free environment There is a no smoking policy in operation in the Brandon Centre. In accordance with this policy smoking is positively discouraged and is not permitted on the premises.
