Summary


We are seeking an organised and proactive Facilities & Site Logistics Supervisor to join our team at the Sutton site, including the Oak Cancer Centre. This is a vital supervisory role responsible for coordinating and supporting a wide range of operational services that keep our hospital running smoothly.
The successful candidate will oversee portering, security, and will offer support to our reception services and Helpdesk functions, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will play a key role in supporting patient flow, responding to emergencies, and providing leadership and guidance to frontline staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a commitment to patient-centred service, and experience in leading teams within a busy facilities or logistics environment.

• The key purpose of this position is to manage the Portering, Post Room Security staff and Car
Parking Teams on all aspects of their work, ensuring the highest levels of performance which is
consistent with the Trust Core Values. In addition, to support the Management Team in the
smooth running of the service.
• To assist in overseeing the logistics of postal service and distribution of goods, materials, furniture
and equipment.
• To assist in providing facilitation of any site management requirements requiring logistical
support.
• Able to work across both sites and to be flexible to meet the needs of the service as and when
required.

• Responsibility for supervising staff expected to lead, motivate, develop and reward staff and are
required to comply with the Trust's policies and Manager's Code of Conduct in the following areas:
• Assist in the effective recruitment and selection of staff in line with the Trust's Recruitment Code and
Recruitment & Selection Processes and Standards.
• Ensure staff are appraised annually, have clear objectives which link to department,
division/directorate or corporate objectives and a personal development plan.
• Ensure all new staff receive core and departmental induction.
• Ensure performance issues are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner and follow the Trust's
Disciplinary or Poor Performance Procedures where formal action is necessary.
• Ensure that satisfactory systems are in place to maintain effective communication within your area
and be responsible for ensuring that any Trust Communications Systems are utilised.
• Observe and comply with the Trust's policies and procedures for Health and Safety ensuring the
environment in which you and your staff work is safe, clean and tidy.
