Learning Support Practitioner

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a difference?

Newcastle College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant's to join a passionate team that supports the achievements of students with additional learning needs where you will work closely with students with additional learning needs, including young people, adults and/or those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

You will support students both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them to access and understand the curriculum and progress in their learning, while encouraging the development of independent skills and confidence.
You will be confident providing tailored one-to-one, group or whole class support.

As the successful candidate, you will be an enthusiastic and adaptable person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusive education. You will have Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent and be able to work flexibly, including evening work, and supporting at our off-site provision.
