As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism.
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and creative SEN Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis — someone who is driven by the belief that every pupil deserves the chance to thrive. If you’re motivated, adaptable, and committed to making a real difference, this role offers the perfect opportunity to bring your skills, ideas, and enthusiasm to a setting where every day counts.
In this role, you’ll work with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs, planning and delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence. You’ll have the freedom to teach creatively, supported by a team of specialists and access to excellent resources that help you tailor learning to each individual.
As part of our committed school community, you’ll observe and track progress closely — not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals will be at the heart of what you do.
What You’ll Do:
Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons tailored to individual needs
Support pupils with a range of SEN to flourish academically and personally
Observe, assess, and record progress, ensuring wellbeing is prioritised
Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and external professionals
Become part of a supportive school ‘family’ where every child is known and valued
Who We’re Looking For:
A warm, resilient, and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for SEN
Someone confident in working with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs
A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
A teacher who wants to be part of a caring, creative, and child-centred school community
Essential Requirement:

If you’re ready to inspire, motivate, and make a meaningful impact during this fixed-term opportunity, we’d love to welcome you to the team.
