Summary

To work effectively within the team and across all agencies as required, optimizing outcomes for families. To carry out quality development assessment using the ages and stages questionnaire. To work with administrative staff to plan the child development assessment sessions. To participate in providing community experience for new members of staff or other personnel. To provide a safe, secure, inclusive and stimulating environment in community settings and to establish an effective and collaborative relationship with parents/carers. To support the development and delivery of high quality, play based opportunities and childcare as appropriate, ensuring such opportunities conform to the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. To plan, facilitate and evaluate play development programmes for individual children and their families, following assessment by the HV, to enable the child and family to benefit from wider play and learning opportunities. To support parents/carers in developing their childs Speech , language and communication through evidence based programmes. To take part in parenting programmes in accordance with the Healthy Child Programme in order to support families in their parenting role. Advise and assist parents in developing their parenting skills individually or in groups. Plan and coordinate health promotion sessions as required. To work closely with the Start Well team leader and Health Visiting team to identify and work with families who require support and deliver the agreed menu of interventions. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16
