Summary

Housing and Property Support Officer
Permanent – 22 Hours -Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am – 17:00pm
Friday 8:30am – 16:30pm
Grade 3 (B1) - £28,598 - £30,024 per annum, pro rata

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced administrator to join the Housing and Property Support Team. You will be responsible for financial payments, purchase orders, allocating the Council’s garages, conducting tasks on the Housing IT systems, assisting with the Council’s Right to Buy Scheme and other tasks deemed necessary to the effective delivery of the service.

Job Requirements:
• Experience of working in an administration office environment is essential.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential for record keeping and data management.
• Organisational skills to manage a complex and varied workload with deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative, along with working as part of a team.
• ICT skills in Microsoft products Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Communication and correspondence skills answering phones, responding to emails and directing inquiries to the correct personnel.
• Assist with the Council’s Right to Buy Scheme.
• Processing financial payments and raising purchase orders. Ordering supplies and challenging invoices when incorrect.
• Allocation of council garages, parking permits, booking communal rooms.
• Handling both routine and complex responsibilities like data entry into several software systems including asbestos, so a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is critical.
• Scanning and uploading documents. Writing and updating procedures

• Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
• Administrative competence.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence their experience of working in a busy office environment and ensure confidentially while demonstrating a conscientious and approachable can-do attitude. You will be required to apply a high-level of support to the Housing and Property teams and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting within the area.
