Our client is a creative and bustling restoration house in London, completing an average of 500 jobs each year. They are seeking an experienced Senior Furniture Restorer to join their dedicated team, specialising in the restoration of antiques and cabinetry.
In this role, the Senior Furniture Restorer will work closely with clients, assessing pieces, developing restoration plans, and executing repairs with precision and care. As a senior member of the team, the successful candidate will also be expected to supervise and support junior colleagues.

Are you the right person for the job?
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in furniture restoration
• Senior, fully-rounded craftsperson comfortable with responsibility
• Proficient in woodworking, cabinetry, joinery, and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of different wood types, historical styles, and construction methods
• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for restoring furniture
• Reliable, conscientious, and a self-starter
• Full driving licence required
• Own a full selection of high-quality hand tools
What will your role look like?
• Assess furniture and develop restoration plans
• Perform repairs, including re-glueing, refinishing, veneer work, and structural adjustments
• Supervise and support junior colleagues
• Communicate with clients, providing recommendations and progress updates
• Maintain detailed records of restoration work
• Ensure all work meets the company’s high standards of craftsmanship and authenticity
• Organise and manage workflow to meet deadlines and customer expectations
