K Cotterill Transport is seeking hire professional Class 2 drivers to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate would be someone who is fast to adopt new ideas, has excellent time management skills & customer focused. The ability to communicate clearly and flourish as part of a team is also highly desirable.
The work is varied & interesting. The majority of our work is moving furniture from setting up major events in the hospitality industry, general haulage and removals. We have a wealth of experience in moving goods with large amount of equipment to move furniture, both large and small to make each job run smooth and safe. We offer a good working environment, uniform, PPE and competitive rates.
The successful candidate will perform in an efficient and courteous manner at all times when working within the dedicated and varied delivery industry.
Duties:
· Carrying out deliveries and collections to and from various business and private premises.
· Completing the correct documentation when collecting and delivering goods.
· Verifying the contents of your delivery and collections.
· Ensuring that the goods carried on board are secure within the vehicle.
· Being comfortable with driving in heavy traffic or potentially unsociable hours.
· Clearly communicating with line managers and advising of delays, accidents and other traffic situations.
· Driving in a safe manner, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations at all times.
· Completing regular in-depth vehicle inspections.
· Report any mechanical problems or defects found in your vehicle.
Key Skills & Experience:
· Must hold a valid UK driving licence. 2 years driving experience preferred.
· Previous removal experience is preferred, however training will be provided.
· Excellent communication skills, both in-house and customer facing.
· The ability to remain calm under pressure.
· Customer focussed, professional and a pride in what you do at all times
