Summary
Ashiyana House is a new 2 bed therapeutic children's home located in the heart of Redditch, Worcestershire. We are currently seeking a full time Team Leader to join our vibrant and dedicated team in providing care and support to children aged 8-18 with learning disabilities, Autism and behavioural needs. This is a key leadership role within the home which will see you working alongside the Registered and Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the home. As well as supporting the children within the home, you will also support and supervise the staff team. To be successful in your application, you MUST be able to demonstrate good knowledge of The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, The Children's Act 1989 and the Care Standards Act 2000.
The role involves supporting children in various activities within the home and local community as well as ensuring all aspects of their health and well-being needs are met. As part of the role you may also be require you to carry out personal care in accordance with care plans and risk assessments.
As a therapeutic home we place strong emphasis on creating a environment for children that promotes positive change in emotional regulation and behaviour while building secure attachment and healthy relationships. Therapeutic approaches we use are Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI).
As a Team Leader you will be expected to work at least one sleep-in shift per week. Sleep-in's start at 20:00 and end at 08:00 the following day.
This role is expected to begin in March/April 2026.
