Summary
Are you a graduate who wants to gain genuine, hands-on experience supporting young people?
Maybe you're curious about teaching… or want to understand more about SEN… or just love the idea of doing something meaningful after uni.
If so, becoming a Graduate Learning Support Assistant in one of our partner schools in Alton could be the perfect next step.
You'll be joining a supportive secondary school that genuinely values kindness, patience and positive role models - and they're excited to welcome new graduates to their team
And… if you haven't worked in a school before, that's totally fine. We'll help you feel confident long before you walk into a classroom.
You'll get:
• Free online CPD and SEN training
• Experience days so you can try the role first
• Real, human check-ins (none of that rushed "You OK? Cool." stuff)
• Ongoing support with confidence, communication and behaviour strategies
• Guidance on how to adapt to school life without feeling overwhelmed
We want you to feel valued, prepared, and supported from day one.
Your role is all about being a consistent, calming presence. You'll help students who need a little extra support - academically, emotionally or both.
Your day will include:
• Providing 1:1 or small-group support
• Helping students with additional learning needs feel confident
• Assisting with classwork, literacy, numeracy and organisation
• Being someone students can trust
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
• Encouraging progress, celebrating small wins and being their cheerleader
It's the kind of job where you finish the day knowing you've genuinely helped someone.
Graduates who are:
• Interested in teaching, SEN, psychology, youth support or pastoral roles
• Patient, warm and naturally encouraging
• Good communicators who enjoy helping others
• Adaptable, reliable and able to stay calm when things get busy
• Keen to make a positive impact every single day
You don't need classroom experience - just an open mind and a gentle, supportive attitude.
• £85-£100 per day (PAYE)
• Free specialist SEND training
• Weekly pay with full transparency
• Optional experience days
• A supportive team that listens and checks in properly
• A school environment that values its staff and students
Location: Alton
Role: Learning Support Assistant
Hours: 8:30-3:00 (term-time only)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Pay: From £85/day (PAYE)
