Summary

Job Title: Injection Moulding Setter

Location: West Bromwich
Hours: 48 hours per week, 4 nights per week

  • Monday – Thursday 6pm – 6am
    Hourly Pay: £15.37 - £18.75 (25% shift allowence included already)


    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join our manufacturing team in West Bromwich. You will be responsible for safely setting up and operating injection moulding machines, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

    This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience operating Arburg, Engel, or similar injection moulding machines and working with materials such as PVC, Nylon, and Polypropylene.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Set up and operate injection moulding machines to meet production and quality specifications.


    • Maintain machines in good working order, ensuring all operations are fully documented.


    • Ensure 5S standards are maintained across machines, tooling, and work areas.


    • Liaise with tool maintenance teams regarding insert changes and tool readiness.


    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.


    • Follow all Health & Safety procedures within the injection moulding area.


    • Monitor product quality and raise issues with the Quality department when necessary.


    • Conduct effective shift handovers to ensure seamless operations.


    • Follow departmental and company procedures, including recycling standards.


      What We’re Looking For
      • Proven experience operating injection moulding machines, preferably Arburg or Engel.


      • Experience in setting up tooling and inserts.


      • Knowledge of polymer properties and processing behaviors.


      • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


      • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work effectively in a team.


      • Good communication skills.


      • Recognised qualification in polymer processing.
