Summary

Customer Account Advisor

Part-time permanent role, 20 hours a week (Sunday, Monday & Tuesday)

Salary – £25,116 per annum (pro-rata for part-time, £13.51 per hour)

Location – Meadowbank Sports Centre



We are looking for a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Accounts Advisor to join our customer service team based at Meadowbank Sports Centre.



As the face and the voice of Edinburgh Leisure, you will be responsible for:

- Responding to telephone, email, and web enquiries regarding direct debit payments and accounts in a prompt, knowledgeable, and engaging way.

- Providing a meaningful and positive experience to every customer by delivering high-quality, helpful support and service.

- Maintaining the member and payment database to ensure all customer information, payment details and transaction records are up to date and properly processed.

- Ensuring that all price changes and membership upgrades are accurately reflected in the system and communicated to customers in a timely manner.

- Contacting customers who have outstanding payments to facilitate the collection process in a professional, empathetic and positive manner.

- Managing cancellations positively and ensuring that every member feels valued.



Our ideal candidate will be:

- Customer Service expert with knowledge of direct debits, finance systems and MS Office.

- People-focused individual with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

- Great listener with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to a varied customer base.

- Decisive, fair, and consistent problem-solver with strong decision-making skills, able to organise and prioritise.

- Computer-literate with the ability to work with a range of IT software/systems e.g., membership systems and point of sales systems.
