Summary

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in both care homes and home care settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, following personalised care plans, and ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of those in your care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Follow and update individualised care plans to meet clients’ needs. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge. Drive clients to appointments, social engagements, or community activities as required, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation.
Skills and Requirements. Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Good IT skills for maintaining digital care records and using care management systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport. Previous experience in a care home or domiciliary care setting is desirable but not essential full training will be provided. Ability to follow care plans accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for client visits and transport duties.
