Applications are invited for two twelve months fellowship post in Neuro-ophthalmology and Strabismus in one of the largest provincial ophthalmic unit in the UK. One post is to commence 1stweek of August 2026 and the 2nd one is to commence in February 2027.

Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). The fellowship is based at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. The Neuro-ophthalmology firm has 3 consultant ophthalmologists - Mr Vishwanath, Mr Yagan and Miss Littlewood in addition to a consultant neurologist - Dr Zermansky. The unit is supported by a big orthoptic department headed by Mrs Veronica Greenwood, and an electrophysiology department headed by Professor Neil Parry.

The Fellow will participate in outpatient clinics undertaking diagnosis, management and follow up of patients under the care of the Consultants. He or she will undertake surgery both under supervision and, where appropriate, unsupervised. The Fellow attends outpatient clinic sessions and dedicated operating sessions under the direction of the Consultant trainers.
