Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of a private client for a female support worker to support a young adult autistic female in East London. This is a long-term, one to one home and community role.
Hours: Around 20+ hours per week between 3pm and 9pm, Sunday–Friday, plus 4–6 daytime hours. Availability on public and religious holidays is required.
The role involves following a structured behaviour and support plan, assisting with daily routines, promoting independence, and completing accurate daily records. Responsibilities also include delivering personal hygiene care and carrying out domestic tasks in relation to the client’s care needs and independent living. Most of the time, the successful applicant will be supported by another team member.
Previous experience working with autism, SEN, learning difficulties, or children/young people is essential. Applicants must be physically fit, healthy, reliable, calm, and patient. The client prefers someone who is confident, well-spoken, and able to communicate effectively in English. Non-smokers only. Right to work in the UK is required. References will be requested.
Driving is desirable; a parking permit can be provided if needed. Competitive pay is offered for the right candidate.
