As a Lead Solution Architect, you will design and orchestrate complex solution architectures that deliver key business outcomes. You'll play a pivotal role in enabling teams to move at pace by shaping the forward-looking architecture for a lab or platform. Working closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and Enterprise Architects, you will ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

We use data-driven intelligence, AI, and machine learning to predict, detect, and prevent economic crime. Our work includes personalised interventions, mobile-first fraud journeys, and advanced investigation tools, ensuring interactions are efficient and compliant. By leveraging external data partnerships and technologies like GenAI and Graph Neural Networks, we deliver proactive solutions that safeguard millions and shape the future of financial security. Day to day, you will:

Shape and deliver solution architecture that drives strategic outcomes across platforms and labs.

Lead complex design initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

Collaborate with Product Owners, engineering teams, and Enterprise Architects to enable delivery at pace.

Champion best practices in compliance, quality assurance, and change management.

Mentor and coach teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Influence long-term strategy, developing frameworks and methods to optimise resources and enhance business performance.

What you'll need:

Previous hands-on engineering experience (e.g. software development) with a deep understanding of technical delivery and design principles.

Story-telling skills to describe our Solution Architecture and get agreement to achieve it.

Experience of architecting modern ecosystems to support the transformation of monolithic applications

Relationship and collaborator skills to energise our product and engineering communities.

Practical, hands-on experience required for defining the patterns, standards and practices guiding our engineering community.

Experience of leading small to medium size teams and the ability to coach
