We are looking for a hands-on Company Accountant who is not just great with numbers but also proactive, reliable, and ready to make a real difference. You will be working closely with the Company Director to keep things running smoothly, efficiently, and compliantly.
Duties include:
• Manage an accounts clerk and oversee their duties.
• Monitoring of expenditure, capital expenditure
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end procedures
• Interpret and communicate financial data to directors.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Support with budgeting and forecasting processes for multi projects.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Liaise with external Accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders, as necessary.
To be considered for the role of Company Accountant you must have ACCA, AAT or CIMA qualifications and previous Accounts skills.
Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
Experience in a SME environment, organised, dependable, and happy to get stuck in
The successful candidate will be required to analyse financial performance and contribute to long term business planning and forecasting.
