Summary
We’re looking for a proactive Grounds Team Leader to join our Estates team at mhs homes. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality
grounds maintenance services across our properties, ensuring excellent customer service and supporting a team of operatives to
achieve outstanding results.
What you’ll do:
* Mentor and guide Grounds Operatives to deliver a “right first time” service.
* Ensure all works are completed on time and to company standards.
* Keep handheld devices updated for each site covered.
* Act as the first point of contact on-site, setting standards and providing updates.
* Oversee allocated vehicle checks and ensure daily emptying.
* Carry out grounds maintenance tasks including:
* Grass cutting using powered machinery and manual tools.
* Weed spraying and clearing rubbish.
* Soft landscaping and maintaining shrub/flower beds.
* Turf repairs and seeding.
* Garden maintenance for properties as per planned schedules.
* Tree works including pruning and lopping.
* Respond to emergency situations and assist with snow clearance as per policy.
* Support caretaking, empty homes, and garden clearance where needed.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in grounds work or caretaking, with a track record of delivering excellent results.
* Previous experience leading a team.
* Strong customer communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Competent in using handheld devices (smartphones) for updates.
* Ability to carry out minor servicing of powered tools and basic vehicle checks.
* Flexible to work weekend rota duties.
