We are currently recruiting for someone enthusiastic and kind to join our Supported Living service in Stowmarket. Here, you will play a key role in helping individuals with a learning disability live happy and independent lives. In this role, you will support people when they are at home and out in the community, building positive relationships along the way.

Your day-to-day work will be varied. The people we support love getting out and about, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. You will be accompanying individuals on shopping trips, visits to day centres where they enjoy various activities such as woodworking & gaming, supporting with their volunteering roles and much more. At home, you will also support them with hobbies they enjoy, this can include things like gaming, gardening and arts and crafts.

You will also play an important role in helping with everyday tasks around the home. This includes a person-centred care approach, supporting them with any personal care needs and medication requirements as well as assisting with household chores like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Through everything you do, you will help create a safe, comfortable, and positive environment where each person can thrive and be as independent as possible.

We are looking for someone kind, patient, and genuinely committed to supporting others. You don’t need previous experience, as full training will be provided, but you do need the right values and a willingness to learn. Good communication skills and a supportive team attitude are essential.

We have full time, part time and relief contracts available, giving you flexibility. The shift patterns can vary from 7am-10pm, there is also a sleep in shift requirement (this comes with a flat rate of £63.70).
