Join our supportive SEMH school in Sudbury as a Cook and play a key role in creating a positive, nourishing environment for our students.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, well-balanced meals that support the wellbeing and development of our students, contributing to their overall success.

As the heart of our kitchen, you’ll ensure that every meal served is nutritious, safe, and meets the dietary needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the kitchen and designated areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Follow company hygiene standards, including HACCP and COSHH guidelines, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Prepare well-balanced meals, taking into account dietary needs and allergies.
  • Update menu sheets and manage stock control.
  • Perform regular checks on appliances and ensure they are well-maintained.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a school environment is preferred, but not required.
  • This position is open to candidates with Food Hygiene qualifications (or equivalent).
