Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join the Clinical Liaison Team at the Faculty of Health to cover a secondment.

About the role

You will support the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Therapy and Hygiene (DTH) programmes with administration of clinical supervision and Specialist Care Visits. You will be part of a team of five staff. You will be expected to liaise with our clinic staff in addition to colleagues in partner organisations about placements and maintain the student digital learning environment.

The post will be located at our North campus in the John Bull Building, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford, Plymouth, PL6 8BU. You will be expected to work in the John Bull Building for most of the time, however we do offer informal hybrid working arrangements.

This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until September 2027. The current post-holder works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and our preference would be to continue the same days.

For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

What we’re looking for

You will:

• Be a highly motivated
• Well organised individual, who has experience of office administration
• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (especially Excel)
• Be an effective communicator who can work effectively as part of a team
• Need to have a meticulous attention to detail, be accurate and work to set deadlines
• Need to be confident handling data.

The Clinical Liaison Team is responsible for providing comprehensive management and administration of the medical and dental schools' clinical placements. We are currently seeking to appoint an individual to take up the post of Assistant Administrator (Dental).
