Are you an adaptable and committed Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role in Taunton?

Would you enjoy working as the in-house cover teacher for a well-regarded academy, providing high-quality teaching across KS1 and KS2?

This respected Taunton primary academy is seeking a talented 0.6 Primary Teacher to join their team ASAP. In this role, you will work across year groups to deliver engaging, effective lessons, providing reliable in-house cover where needed. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued part of a supportive school community while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.

The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be confident teaching across both key stages. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to broaden your experience, you’ll be welcomed into a school committed to staff wellbeing, collaboration, and professional growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential


  • Confident teaching across KS1 and KS2


  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills


  • Adaptability, reliability, and a positive, proactive teaching style


  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
