Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure delivery of an effective Centralised AMHP Service that meets all relevant legal requirements.
• Manage and provide high-quality monthly supervision to permanent AMHPs and complete annual appraisals for AMHPs rotated into the service.
• Provide professional leadership, guidance, and expert advice on all aspects of Mental Health law and AMHP practice.
• Ensure AMHPs receive sufficient training, support, and mandatory annual refresher training.
• Manage the Adult Emergency Duty Team (EDT) and ensure regular, high-quality monthly supervision for all EDT staff.
Essential Requirements:
• Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.
• Current AMHP qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK mental health legislation and AMHP statutory responsibilities.
• Experience supervising AMHP practice and/or managing EDT services.
• Right to work in the UK.
