SEMH Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

A specialist school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a structured, trauma-informed environment.

About the Role
You'll be working closely with students who require consistent, compassionate support to engage with learning and manage their emotions and behaviour. The role involves one-to-one and small group support, behaviour de-escalation, and collaboration with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure each child feels safe, understood, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with SEMH needs across Key Stages 2-4
- Promoting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Implementing tailored strategies and contributing to EHCP targets
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Creating a calm, consistent, and nurturing learning environment

Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Available for an immediate start
- Confident, calm, and committed to inclusive education
