Summary

Salary: NJC 5-7 £21,906 - £22,608 (actual), £25,583 - £26,906 (pro rata salary) + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: 37 per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time + inset days)

We are excited to be adding to our team here at Lift Firth Park, we are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant (Inclusion) on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a committed individual to support Lift Firth Park to provide an alternative and inclusive education for its pupils. Key aspects of the role involve:

  • Establishing productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Deliver packages of support to students who are at risk of exclusion or are experiencing significant issues that are damaging their academic progression.
  • Ability to help us build on the breadth of the educational experiences we offer both in and out of the classroom.

You're someone who has:

  • Behaviour Management strategies to encourage positive behaviour.
  • Knowledge and experience of intervention programmes that accelerate progress.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and safeguarding vulnerable young people.
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Level 2 functional skills Maths and English or GCSE grade C/4 and above.


We value the skills and dedication of our teaching assistants. To support the best outcomes for our students, we require applicants to hold at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification; ideally Level 3. If you're working towards a level 3 qualification, we'll support your journey through our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme, helping you develop the skills and confidence to make an even greater impact.

Lift Firth Park is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. Located in Shiregreen, Sheffield, we serve around 1,200 pupils and reflect a richly diverse community, with more than a third of students speaking English as an additional language.
