Summary

Waste and Recycling Driver/Operative

Salary: £14.46 per hour for a 3.5T Driver, plus Veolia benefits

- Overtime Available, x1.5 Monday - Saturday, x2 Sundays and Bank Holidays

Hours: 39 per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30 or 08:00 - 16:30, 30 min unpaid break. Start time of 6am and 8am will alternate every two weeks. Shift Flexibility required

Location: Veolia Wembley - Marsh Road, Alperton Lane, Wembley, Middlesex, HA0 1ES

What you'll be doing;

  • Driving the internal and external footprint of the Stadium and to waste disposal sites.
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook and ensuring all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
  • Maintain and clean internal and external areas of Wembley using equipment supplied.
  • Completing required services, including but not limited to; manual and mechanical sweeping, jet washing, bulky waste clearance, litter removal, dog fouling, rapid response to Real Time Incidences, spillages.
  • Comply with any site conditions ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and appropriate Veolia PPE is worn at all times.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, client, staff and colleagues.
  • You will be required to work overtime and weekends as required to complete your work. This may include night shift.

What we're looking for;

Essential

  • Full UK clean driving licence (non-negotiable) - willing to drive sweepers and company vehicles.

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety at work, compliance and Site Security is vital.

  • Experience of working as part of a team with good communication skills at all levels is necessary.
  • Being a team player is key to ensure we deliver a premium service to our customers.

Desirable

  • Understanding and active interest in sustainable operations with high security measures.
