Summary

Purchasing Administrator
Location: Hartlepool – Onsite
Salary: £23,977 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Pattern: 07:00–15:15 Monday to Thursday, 07:00–12:00 Friday
Bridgman IBC, a leading manufacturer in the timber door sector, is searching for a proactive and highly organised Purchasing Administrator to join our busy team in Hartlepool. This role supports our purchasing manager and is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of materials and efficient procurement for our operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal supply of materials for production needs.
• Place timely supplier orders and process good receipting for incoming deliveries.
• Accurately match invoices, resolve reconciliation queries, and maintain records of urgent remake materials.
• Identify and resolve late deliveries, reporting issues to suppliers and communicating effectively with internal teams.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date records for all purchasing activities, supporting audit processes and department objectives.
• Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.
About You
• Prior experience in a purchasing administrative role is highly desirable; administration experience is essential.
• Competence in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable working with digital stock management systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a willingness and “can do” attitude to tackle new challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, able to liaise with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
• Experience maintaining stock or inventory records is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
