Role: Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Middlewich
Days/shifts: Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30
Are you a seasoned warehouse professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to support our Management Team in driving daily operations at our Middlewich site. In this key role, you’ll lead a dedicated team of operators, ensuring smooth, efficient workflows and helping us meet our business goals with precision and energy.
What will you be doing?
• Lead and support daily warehouse operations to meet business and customer demands.
• Supervise and train warehouse operatives, ensuring high performance and development.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock movements.
• Coordinate and participate in regular stock takes.
• Ensure systems and data are up to date and accurate.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
• Produce reports and performance statistics as required.
• Assist in planning for future capacity and resource needs.
• Uphold health, safety, and manual handling standards.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are maintained and fit for use.
• Maintain warehouse security and cleanliness.
• Step up to cover management duties during absence or leave.
• Monitor timekeeping, attendance, and support people management processes.
• Communicate priorities and targets clearly to the team.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners as needed.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews, welfare meetings, and support disciplinary processes.
• Foster a collaborative, honest, and inclusive team environment.
About You
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader with supervisory capabilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Good IT proficiency, especially in spreadsheets, databases, and warehouse systems.
• Analytical mindset with excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of health, safety, and security protocols.
• Knowledge of lean techniques (advantageous).
• Forklift Truck license (may be required).
• Warehousing or supervisory qualifications (advantageous).
• Certification in Dangerous Goods Handling (preferred).
