Summary

Job Summary Provide high-quality fertility care, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical procedures, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting best practice. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Consult, assess, and plan treatments for patients. Undertake fertility-related procedures (egg collection, embryo transfer) within competency limits. Manage emergency admissions and arrange onward referrals. Ensure informed consent for all treatments. Provide weekend and on-call clinical cover as per rota. Liaise with GPs, referrers, and other specialists; communicate with patients via phone, email, or letter. Management & Leadership Actively contribute to clinic and group management teams. Allocate workloads, ensure safe practice, and motivate team members. Support staff development through feedback, training, and performance reviews. Participate in audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives. Act as Quality Lead for the department and liaise with the local Quality Manager. Governance & Compliance Maintain accurate records and adhere to HFEA Code of Practice. Comply with GMC Good Medical Practice and Care protocols. Report incidents via Datix and follow infection control, health & safety, and safeguarding policies. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations. Professional Development Engage in CPD, revalidation, and competency assessments. Participate in research projects, patient information events, and educational activities. Promote services through media and conferences. Systems & Collaboration Use clinical databases and digital systems for accurate record-keeping. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to meetings and development projects.
