Summary
To perform diagnostic and clinical assessments, including otoscopic examinations and interpretation of test results, to formulate individual treatment plans and identify any need for referral to ENT or Senior Audiologist. To obtain aural impressions and fit custom-made earplugs or hearing aids for adults and children, programming and verifying devices using appropriate software and real ear measurements. To modify ear moulds using specialized equipment to ensure comfort, optimal acoustic performance, and effective patient outcomes. To review patient progress regularly, provide counselling and advice, and adjust hearing aid settings or rehabilitation plans as necessary. To provide hearing aid repair services, troubleshoot non-routine problems, and implement individualized solutions. To undertake home visits, inpatient visits, and paediatric audiology support as required, ensuring accessibility of audiological care across different settings.
