Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to design, execute, and document test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of pharmaceutical and software applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams, business analysts, and project managers to identify defects, validate requirements, and enhance overall application performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies tailored to the pharmaceutical domain.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for pharmaceutical applications.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to identify defects and ensure high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve functionality-related issues.
• Document test results, report defects, and track resolution throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar) to improve testing efficiency.
• Design and execute test plans for various IT applications as needed.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using approved QA tools.
• Work closely with development teams to understand new features and functionalities.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure system stability when new changes are introduced.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using recognised tools and frameworks.
• Execute performance and stress tests to assess application stability and scalability.
• Participate in requirement and design review meetings, providing insight from a QA perspective.

Skills Required:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation.
• Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of automation tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Bug Life Cycle (BLC).
• Understanding of medical information, data-centric publishing, or statistics (advantageous).
• Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, BDD, and TDD.
• Experience with test planning, test data preparation, test design, test cases/scripts, and testability assessments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, including for ETL testing.

Desirable Skills for the role:
• Experience with ETL testing, data validation, and data analysis.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Tableau, or SSIS.
• Previous experience testing pharmaceutical applications or products.
