Summary

Job Description

You will provide Electrical Supervision on installation and testing in various Dundee City Council occupied and unoccupied housing and commercial properties on a full time basis for 37 hours per week. Your main workplace base will be at Fairmuir House, Dundee.

Requirements

You will be Electrician (FICA) and/or Approved Electrician (ACA or equal) and Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52 or equal)

or have the ability to successfully achieve and maintain Certification for Inspection and Testing.

Responsibilities

You will ensure the safe and efficient progression, final testing and recording of all electrical work under their control across Contracts and Maintenance Sections (including Subcontractors) to a satisfactory completion which is compliant with Specification/Job Description and/or Schedule of Quantities, and to the required standard of workmanship BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, and also in accordance with Construction Services current registration to electrical installation certification organisation (NICEIC).

The Individual

You will have good technical knowledge and experience of all domestic and commercial electrical installation and maintenance works, working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work along with experience of undertaking and recording Periodic Inspection & Testing and in identifying and repairing faults.

You will have the ability to read drawings and specifications to create material orders and to organise efficient and compliant electrical installation and maintenance works along with understanding of Building Regulations.

You will have flexibility with working times, have full current driving licence and the ability to gain SMSTS Certificate.
