Based at Marchbanks office you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have 3 National 4's or equivalent including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

You will undertake all tasks allocated in respect of the provision of an effective Environmental Service.

You will participate in the multi-tasking approach to the delivery of Animal Control and Pest Control duties and other activities undertaken within the Regulatory Services and other activities within the Department as directed by the Environment / Public Health Manager.

You will participate in specified project work as directed by the Environment / Public Health Manager

The Individual

You will have experience in dealing with the public in their home/external environment along with Pest Control Work Experience in working with the public, face to face and in possible confrontational / awkward situations. You will have good technical ability and the confidence in dealing with dogs and animal welfare.

You will have the ability to deal methodically and innovatively with problems to achieve positive outcomes and/or able to organise workload to achieve pest control targets and have the ability to work under pressure.

You will have good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with both members of the public making complaints, and those being complained about. In addition, you will have basic computer skills (MS Office).

You will have a full current driving licence and have a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
