What skills and experience we're looking for
Following a very successful period recognised by the team of three HMI at our last Ofsted inspection, the governors are seeking to appoint a strategic leader who can inspire staff and students in the pursuit of all-round excellence.
You are someone who:
• wants to lead a learning community, not just manage a school;
• is passionate about influencing, challenging and motivating all members of the school and the local community to do their best by the students;
• is on a learning curve and intends to remain on one;
• critically examines both national and local agendas and uses aspects of them to benefit our students, staff and local community;
• can understand the difference between the value of education and its cost.

• is small enough for every student to be known, but large enough to provide a good, balanced and inclusive curriculum.

• a school which has improved its attainment 8 score to achieve 5th place in Cumberland October 2025.
