This is a superb opportunity for a motivated nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a forward-thinking primary care environment.

The practice is proud of its modern, purpose-built premises, designed to create a welcoming and efficient space for both patients and staff. The role will involve a varied range of nursing duties, including chronic disease management, cytology, immunisations, wound care, and health promotion clinics. The post-holder will also have opportunities to take part in quality improvement projects and to contribute ideas for enhancing patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care in line with evidence-based best practice.
Manage long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension.
Undertake treatment room duties including wound care, cervical cytology, and vaccinations.
Provide lifestyle advice and health promotion to support patient wellbeing.
Contribute to clinical audits, infection control, and ongoing service development.
Collaborate effectively with the wider practice team to ensure holistic patient care.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a registered nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
Have experience in a general practice or primary care setting (although training can be provided for the right candidate).
Be competent in chronic disease management, cytology, and immunisations (or willing to develop these skills).
Have strong communication and organisational skills with a commitment to teamwork.
Be proactive, adaptable, and motivated to engage in continued professional development.

About the Practice:

This is a well-established, patient-focused surgery that prides itself on being progressive and supportive. The team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality care and has a strong focus on education, training, and staff wellbeing. The practice is paper-light, utilises modern clinical systems, and encourages innovation in service delivery.

As a training practice, there are excellent opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and ongoing education. The management team promotes a positive work-life balance and flexible working patterns wherever possible

Hours and Benefits:

24–28 hours per week (flexible schedule available)
Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Generous annual leave entitlement
