Summary
The post-holder will work in the nuclear medicine section providing a specialist diagnostic imaging service. On a day-to-day basis this will include working closely with patients, the administration of radioactive substances, carrying out complex diagnostic medical imaging procedures and the use of specialist computer systems to process data.The department has two modern gamma cameras and in-house radiopharmacy facilities. A broad range of nuclear medicine investigations are carried out in the unit, to aid the assessment of a wide spectrum of pathologies affecting all major body organs and functions. Around 5000 patients visit the department each year, including paediatrics.The workload covers both inpatients and outpatients, from inside and outside the Bradford region. The service must respond to rapid changes in demands, including a swift response for urgent requests.
