South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Clerical Assistant to join the team within the Finance Section based at Floor 5, Council HQ.

A challenging role has arisen which requires a self-motivated individual, with strong organisational skills, to provide a first-class clerical support service within our Finance Section.

You will be involved in our budget monitoring process, including running financial ledgers/system reports, posting journals, analysing income/expenditure, operation of Fusion finance and P2P modules whilst working within tight timescales and supporting Finance Team priorities. Attention to detail is therefore essential.

You will also be involved in dealing with enquiries from internal and external customers and will be required to provide basic guidance on SLLC Policies. It is therefore essential that you possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to the principles of customer care.

You will be required to demonstrate excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

This role demands that you work in a highly professional manner, exercising confidentially and discretion at all times and that you are able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
